The C7 Corvette Z06 (2015–2019) is the last and wildest of the front-engine Z06s. Its supercharged 6.2-litre LT4 V8 makes 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, which made it the most powerful production car General Motors had ever built at launch. Buyers chose between a 7-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic, with power going to the rear wheels. 0–100 km/h takes about 3.1 seconds, and the chassis pulls over 1.2 g in corners on a road-legal tire.

Developed alongside the C7.R that raced at Le Mans, the Z06 shares its aluminum frame, cooling, and aero philosophy with the race car. The signature soundtrack is pure American thunder: a supercharger whine layered over a big-displacement V8 that passengers feel in their chest as much as hear.
