Pick a Ride
The 750S is McLaren's replacement for the 720S, and the name is the power figure: 750 PS, or about 740 hp, from a 4.0 litre twin turbo V8. Roughly a third of the car changed from the 720S, including a lighter set of wheels, a quicker steering rack, revised suspension and a new nose, so it is a sharper car rather than simply a more powerful one.
It reaches 100 km/h in under 3 seconds and keeps pulling well past any speed that is legal in Alberta. What people tend to remember is not the acceleration though, it is how light the whole car feels: McLaren builds around a carbon fibre tub, so the 750S weighs hundreds of kilos less than most cars with this much power, and it changes direction accordingly.
This is the Spider, so the roof folds away in about eleven seconds and can be operated on the move at low speed. With the roof down you get the engine directly behind your head, which is the entire point.
Papaya is not a random colour choice either. It is the shade Bruce McLaren's team raced in during the late sixties, and McLaren brought it back as a signature.
