The 718 Cayman GT4 (2019–) is the track-focused mid-engine Porsche. It uses a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six producing 414 hp at 7,600 rpm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed PDK. Curb weight is around 1,420 kg; 0–100 km/h takes 4.4 seconds (manual) or 3.9 seconds (PDK).

The GT4 borrows GT3-derived suspension geometry and brakes, plus an aero kit including a fixed rear wing and front splitter with adjustable downforce settings. Many enthusiasts and reviewers — including Chris Harris on Top Gear — argue the GT4 is the better-balanced driver’s car than the more powerful 911s, thanks to the mid-engine layout placing weight directly between the axles.
