Ford GT 2006

The 1st-generation Ford GT (2005–2006) was a tribute to the Le Mans-winning GT40. It used a supercharged 5.4-litre V8 producing 550 hp and 500 lb·ft of torque, mid-mounted, driving the rear wheels through a 6-speed Ricardo manual gearbox. Curb weight is 1,520 kg; 0–100 km/h takes 3.7 seconds; top speed is 330 km/h.

Built in Wixom, Michigan with strict design discipline — the silhouette is almost identical to the 1960s GT40 Mk II that famously beat Ferrari at Le Mans in 1966. Just over 4,000 were produced. Even today, GTs in good condition trade for well above their original $150k MSRP, with low-mile examples regularly clearing $400k at auction.
