The C8 Corvette Z06 (2023–) is the first mid-engine Z06 ever. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 5.5-litre flat-plane-crank LT6 V8 producing 670 hp at 8,400 rpm — the highest-output naturally aspirated V8 ever fitted to a series-production car. Drive goes through an 8-speed dual-clutch transaxle to the rear wheels. 0–100 km/h takes 2.6 seconds.

Engineered with extensive lessons from the C8.R race car, the Z06 introduces a new flat-plane-crank engine architecture inspired by Ferrari’s V8s. The optional Z07 package adds carbon-ceramic brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires for genuine track-day duty.
