How much does a ride cost?
Each lap session is priced individually depending on the vehicle, and full pricing is shown next to each car on the Book a Ride page. For the week leading up to the event, every ride is priced lower than usual, so this is the best time to book. 100% of proceeds go to charity.
What's included with my booking?
A 15-minute high-speed lap session in your chosen exotic supercar with a professional driver, plus event-day amenities: free parking, helmet rental, water, paddock access.
Are there age or height restrictions?
Riders should be at least 14 years old to participate, and tall enough to safely use the vehicle’s seat belt or harness — most cars need riders to be at least 4’9″ (145 cm). All riders under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the online waiver on their behalf before event day.
Can I book for someone else or give a ride as a gift?
Yes! During checkout, enter the rider’s name as the passenger but use your own name and email as the purchaser so you receive the confirmation email and printable receipt. Print or screenshot the receipt for a thoughtful physical gift.
Can I bring a passenger?
No, all the vehicles in the catalog are two seaters and the booking only entitles one rider.
Event day

Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Rocky Mountain Motorsports requires a signed waiver from every person entering the property, including riders, spectators, and children. Complete the online waiver before event day, one form per person, even if someone else purchased the ride for you. Riders under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign. The waiver link is also in your confirmation email and on your receipt.
When should I arrive?
For afternoon public sessions, please arrive 30 minutes before your booked lap time to check in and gear up (waiver already completed online). The car show opens at 11:00 AM and is open to the public — feel free to come early to walk the paddock.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear closed-toe shoes (sneakers are perfect — no flip-flops or sandals). Bring photo ID and your booking confirmation. Helmets are provided. Dress for the weather; you’ll spend time outdoors at the track.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The event runs rain or shine. Light rain doesn’t typically affect the schedule. In the rare case of a track-condition cancellation (electrical storms, etc.), you’ll be contacted to either reschedule for the following year or receive a full refund.
Will food be available?
There won’t be any food for sale. Catered meals will be provided for our Hope 4 MVC Kids guests and their families, and we’re always happy to share any leftovers in the afternoon. We just can’t guarantee how much will be available, so it’s a good idea to bring your own food and drinks..
The ride

Who drives — can I drive?
Every car is driven by a vetted professional driver, who is also the owner of the car, you ride along as a passenger. Only certified drivers are able to drive on track at the facility.
How fast will we go?
Top speeds depend on the car and the day’s track conditions, but expect 150+ km/h on the main straights in most of the supercars on the day’s lineup. The pro drivers know exactly how to push each vehicle safely on this track and they will make sure that you are comfortable with the speeds they are driving.
Can I take photos or video during the ride?
Absolutely — you’re welcome to bring a phone or GoPro into the cabin. Please secure any device with a strap or mount so it doesn’t become a hazard during high-G corners. Drivers are happy to pose for photos before and after the lap too.
Charity

Where does the money go?
Every dollar of every booking goes directly to Hope 4 MVC Kids — a Mountain View County charity supporting local families with children in serious medical need.
How much of my booking goes to charity?
100%. Cardel Homes and the affiliated sponsors cover all event operating costs — venue, insurance, professional drivers, food, fuel — so every dollar of every ride goes straight to the charities, not to overhead.
Can I get a tax receipt?
The ride itself is treated as an event experience, not a donation, so it isn’t tax-deductible. If you’d like a charitable tax receipt, you can make a separate direct donation to Hope 4 MVC Kids — they’ll issue a receipt for that directly.
How long has the Ride of a Lifetime been running?
Cardel Homes has been hosting the Ride of a Lifetime since 2000, with a break when Race City shut down in 2011. Since 2023, Cardel started to once again host the event at Rocky Mountain Motorsports and hope to be able to continue for many years to come . Together we’ve given hundreds of kids a moment they’ll remember forever, and raised thousands of dollars for our partner charities along the way.
Logistics

Where do I park?
Free on-site parking is available at Rocky Mountain Motorsports. Spaces fill up in the morning, so plan to arrive early if you’re coming as a spectator. The venue has dedicated accessible parking near the main entrance.
Is the venue wheelchair-accessible?
The main paddock, viewing areas, and food zones are paved and wheelchair-accessible. Some specific track-side viewing spots are on gravel. If you or a guest needs specific accommodations, please email us before the event so we can make sure everything is set up for your visit.
Can I cancel or transfer my booking?
Bookings can be transferred to another rider up to 48 hours before the event — just reply to your confirmation email with the new rider’s name. Cancellations within 7 days of the event are non-refundable, but you’re welcome to pass the booking to a friend or family member.
Can I bring kids as spectators?
Absolutely — the event is family-friendly. Spectators of all ages are free, and there’s plenty to see in the paddock and at the car show. The morning Hope 4 MVC Kids session is particularly inspiring to watch.
